![]() ![]() I won't go on any longer, but the service here was ABYSMAL and it was a huge waste of our time and our money. The dessert was the only course we enjoyed, and it wasn't spectacular - simply "very good." At the end of the meal, we had to track the waiter down again to get our bill. We had to get up to refill our water glasses ourselves. The Wiener schnitzel was blah and the Beef Wellington, rather than having a crispy crust, was soggy. Nothing spectacular and certainly nothing justifying $125/pp. The dishes aside of the main courses were just OK. When I told her about it, she went to find one and it appeared as we were eating dessert. The cheese plate which was advertised was not present. There was a lovely woman (Dutch, I believe) who answered some questions at the soup/dessert room, but she was spotty with her attentiveness and very unknowledgeable of the menu. He returned with the water, but the only other times (two) he came to our table, my husband had to flag him down (once, my husband almost went to get him, as he would go out of his way to avoid our table). A very inattentive waiter asked what we'd like to drink and I requested tap water. From this point, everything went downhill. The dining room was very well appointed and there appeared to be 10-12 staff busy at work. We've never spent $125/pp on any meal, so we knew this would be a most memorable one. ![]() We were welcomed at 12:20p (for a 12:30p reservation) by a very friendly hostess who asked us where we'd like to sit (we chose a table for two by the fireplace), and we felt this experience was off to a lovely start. We were excited to splurge - a lot - on Christmas buffet at Hotel Bristol, as the menu looked sensational and the location is a dream. Exemplary service and friendly people everywhere we go. Fantastic experiences and meals at every turn. My husband and I have been in Prague and Vienna for 12 days. ![]()
